Project Objective

Bridge Lab aims to offer 4-DOF robotic arm kits as well as remote tutoring to underserved communities in developing countries for the educational experiences of building robotic arms. It is organized to transform technical abilities into social advantages through this program. Following a Career and Technical Education (CTE) approach, each team builds a 4-DOF robotic arms through their own design and assembly process. The robotic arm is customized through design modifications and mission parameter adjustments. This program distributes these kits to a resource-constrained Vietnamese school to create a global volunteering experience that enables students to learn robotics together and share knowledge with each other. The project requires a thorough engineering process, which includes in-depth testing procedures and software optimization work. It aims to develop future problem-solvers who will handle global digital economic challenges through their dedication to social responsibility.

About Client

Lê Quý Đôn High School is a well-known public educational institution located in Ho Chi Minh City within Vietnam. The school maintains its reputation for academic excellence, but it struggles with STEM learning spaces and providing students with practical technical training because of restricted educational facilities. This school maintains its official partnership with Growth Link, a student-led non-profit organization, enabling the opportunity of international education exchange. These kits provide students with essential tools and practical exposure to engineering principles, helping to enrich their technical learning despite constrained infrastructure.

Part 1 / Part 2

Part 1: Robotics Fundamentals & Basic Assembly

Part 2: Educational Content Development & Technology Sharing

Implementation

After completing the project in summer 2026, the Final platform will be implemented through a volunteer program at Lê Quý Đôn High School. Our team will train the teachers and staff at the school on how to use the platform and will provide virtual tutorials, guided trial sessions, and ongoing support to ensure that all users are comfortable operating the system.

Next Steps

Following the successful launch at Lê Quý Đôn High School, we plan to upgrade the AI and OpenCV-based system to better detect and classify grains and other objects. Development will continue through Summer and Fall 2026, with Version 2.0 scheduled for delivery in Winter 2026. A GoFundMe campaign will also launch in Fall 2026 to support AI costs, technology access, and future expansion.
